Turn Love into Action

Toby Mitchell’s love of wildlife has transformed into serious support for Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.

At just 8 years of age, Toby first visited Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and watched the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital operations from the public Hospital deck all day.

This experience was the catalyst for Toby to start his personal fundraising mission, which has now been running for 6 years.

At 8 years of age, Toby’s initial bake sales resulted in the purchase of two new surgical kits for Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.

Now the 14-year-old is proud to be contributing his latest donation of $2000 from his Christmas stall, which marks a grand total of $15,095 for Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.

Toby has published wildlife books, painted pot plants and even created his own calendars, all for Australia's wildlife.

Toby’s determination, consistency and innovation should be acknowledged as he is an excellent example of how one person can truly make a difference.
