At nearly 5 metres long and weighing around 800 kilograms, Boss Hog is one of Queenslandโs largest Saltwater Crocodiles in specialist care and a true icon of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary!
He joined the Sanctuary in 2013 after being relocated from far north Queensland, where he made headlines for taking down a valuable Brahman Stud Bull.
Despite his size and strength, Boss Hog has a softer side. Heโs known to sulk at the bottom of his pond when the cheeky water dragons splash in beside him. He might be a bit of a sook, but he's an absolute icon and we wouldnโt have it any other way!
Saltwater Crocodiles can hold their breath and stay underwater for over an hour. Perfect for sneaky hunting!
