Animals & Habitats
Ghost Bats and Bilbies habitat repairs
The Ghost Bat and Bilby habitats will be closed for a day or two from Wednesday 11 November while we carry out some repairs. We’ll have them open again as soon as we can.
Kangaroo Paddock late opening
The Kangaroo Paddock will be closed on the morning of Wednesday 18 November for some works. We’re planning to reopen at 10am, though we may hold off a little longer if the Kangaroos need more time to settle. Thanks for helping us put their welfare first!
Emu taking a break
Curly the Emu is having some time out of his habitat in the Kangaroo Paddock, you can still find Thunderbolt the Emu at the Rock Wallaby Habitat, park ref V12.

Miniature trains early conclusion
The trains will stop running a little earlier than usual on Saturday 7 November at 3pm due to a wedding.
The Pavilion closed for event
The Pavilion area opposite the Pelican & Eel show will be closed on Saturday 7 November due to a wedding.
Weekly Maintenance
Miniature trains
Every Wednesday, the miniature trains don’t operate until 12pm for weekly track maintenance (except during Queensland school holidays).
Wild Island Splash Zone
Every Thursday, Wild Island Splash Zone is closed until 11am for weekly cleaning and maintenance.

FAQs
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is open from 9am to 4pm every day, except ANZAC Day (April 25) and Christmas Day (December 25). Last admissions at 3.30pm daily.
Astra Lumina, our magical night-time experience, is open every Friday and Saturday with extra days during school holidays. The trail opens once last light has faded, doors open one hour earlier. For more specific details, check out this page.
The Lorikeet Feeding is held daily at 8am and 4pm. No entry ticket is required to join. Watch for free or get involved to feed wild Lorikeets.
Yes, there is a large car park opposite the main entrance on Tomewin Street, Currumbin. The car park is open from 7.30am - 5.30pm daily.
Parking is $10 per car for all-day parking. Parking is free for National Trust of Australia (Queensland) members.
