Go Behind the scenes of one of the busiest Wildlife Hospitals in the world. See our vet team and volunteers in action, treating sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife. 

This year you can also purchase VIP tickets for an exclusive tour of the Hospital.

What you can expect at this year’s Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Open Day

1. You will get a rare sneak peek behind the scenes of one of the world's busiest wildlife hospitals!

  • The food prep kitchen where a huge range of meals are prepared for the hundreds of different species to meet with dietary requirements and very particular tastes.
  • The hospital laundry that runs around the clock to keep everything clean and hygienic for our special patients.
  • Getting your pulse checked with the pulse oximeter.
  • See the flexible endoscope and X-Ray machines in action.
  • Learn how to bandage all shapes and sizes of injured wildlife.
  • The outdoor rehabilitation facilities for Koalas, raptors, marsupials, water birds and more.

2. Learn about the latest research to save our wildlife!

There will be a range of special presentations for our hospital, conservation, research and education teams about the world-leading projects they are delivering to save and protect our native wildlife. Including updates on:

  • Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Koala Chlamydia Vaccine program
  • Kroombit Tinker Frogs breed to release program
  • Eastern Bristle Birds – birds without borders program

3. It's going to be bigger and more exciting than ever before!

Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Open Day will be a fun day out for the family with plenty of games and activities.

Children over the age of 3 are required to have a ticket purchased for this event

All Hospital Open Day General Admission tickets are valid for the 26th of August 2023 Only and are not valid for any other day

Hospital Open Day General Admission tickets are valid from 12pm only. Admission to the Sanctuary will not be granted prior to 12pm.

Hospital Open Day General Admission tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable

All tickets must be redeemed by 26th of August 2023

No refunds will be given due to sickness, injury or bad weather, unless otherwise advised by Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Member tickets are required to show their membership card upon arrival.
