Wildlife Discovery Experience (all year levels & ESL)


Led by one of our experienced wildlife education officers, this interactive experience can be linked to the Australian Curriculum and tailored to your students’ year level. Your students will have the opportunity to meet and learn about three of our amazing animals; these may include a python, lizard, phasmid (stick insect), echidna, bird, or frog (depending on your excursion focus and animal availability).


Please note that all Nature Ed experiences must be pre- booked to ensure availability


Indigenous Experience (all year levels & ESL)


Immerse your students in culture at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary! Hosted by our Indigenous Education officer, our Indigenous Experience will teach your students about our local area and its people, significant landmarks, weaponry, Dreamtime stories, myths, languages, instruments and ceremonies.


Booking time frame: Please note that our Indigenous Experience must be booked two weeks in advance to ensure availability


Guided Tour (all year levels & ESL)


Want to know a little more about our amazing animals? Take your group on a 60 minute customisable guided tour. Give our friendly team a call to discuss this option further. (This tour does not include any animal interaction)

Behind the Scenes (all year levels & ESL)


Discover what happens Behind The Scenes at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Guided by one of our wildlife education officers you will visit food preparation kitchens, hospital deck facilities and our animal training and presentation area.


Booking time frame: Please note that all Behind the Scenes experiences must be pre-booked to ensure availability.


Wildlife Hospital & Research Facility (recommended for years 5 and up)


Visit our hospital deck and research facilities to learn about animal conservation in Australia, Echidna research, and how Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary plays an important role in rehabilitating many native animals. (30 min classroom session + 30 min tour)


Booking time frame: Please note that all Wildlife Hospital & Research Facility experiences must be pre-booked to ensure availability.


Koala Conservation and Koala Keeping (recommended for years 5 and up)


Get hands on and explore the world of Koala Conservation and Koala Keeping in this 60 minute interactive session, including learning about current Koala Conservation efforts, the ecology of Koalas, mini koala keeping experiences and curriculum aligned learning objectives.


Booking time frame: Please note that all Koala Conservation and Koala Keeping experiences must be pre-booked to ensure availability.


Koala Photo Opportunity


Primary Students: $12 per student (photo beside koala with interaction) High school students and adults: $14 per student (students hold and have individual photo taken)


Photos must be pre-booked prior to visit to receive the rate


Roo Food


Feed our kangaroos: $2 per bag (3 students share). Kangaroo feeding and interaction.


TREE TOP CHALLENGE – Group admission rates to Tree Top Challenge are available, please ask us about options and pricing.


CONDITIONS: ALL PRICES INCLUSIVE OF GST. • These prices are valid for bookings between 1st January and 31st December, 2018. • Group admission rates and conditions are only available to groups who pre-book and pay in bulk as a single transaction. • Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary will invoice state schools after the visit date. Private schools, non-school organisations (e.g. vacation/childcare centres) and private training institutions are required to pay 2 business days prior to arrival or apply for a business account. Payments will not be accepted on the day of admission. • Students with National Trust passes are eligible for free entry but must pay for all additional experiences. In order to receive free entry students’ names and pass numbers must be received by our Education team 7 days prior to the excursion date. Please note: Students with annual passes are not included when allocating the free of charge adult/teacher entitlement. • Please note that weekday and weekend prices vary as specified. • Public holiday prices will vary (please contact us for public holiday bookings).
