We know some kids (and adults) can be fussy eaters, you are more than welcome to bring in your own food and a eat at one of our many picnic areas. No BYO alcohol.

Food & Drink FAQs

What are Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's opening hours?

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is open from 9am to 4pm every day, except ANZAC Day (April 25) and Christmas Day (December 25). Last admissions at 3.30pm daily.

Astra Lumina is open from Wednesday to Saturday with the first sessions starting after dark, which depends on the season.

The Lorikeet feeding is held daily at 8am and 4pm.

Is there car parking available at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary?

Yes, there is a large car park opposite the main entrance on Tomewin Street, Currumbin. The car park is open from 7.30am - 5.30pm daily. 

Parking is $10 per car for all-day parking. Parking is free for National Trust of Australia (Queensland) members. 

Can I bring my own food and drink?

There are plenty of food and beverage options available to purchase at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary; however, guests can bring in their own bottled water, snacks and picnic food. NO alcohol and NO glass bottles.

Do I need to book a table?

Only if you have a large group (more than 12 people) otherwise no bookings are required. Please contact Visitor Services for booking enquiries on (07) 5534 1266.

Are there picnic tables available?

Yes, you'll find plenty of picnic areas throughout Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. No bookings required.
