Miniature Trains
Hop on and off the iconic mini trains
There’s a lot to see and do at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, and our miniature trains are a great way to get around. There are four stations you can hop on and off at any time. The train service is included in your General Admission ticket.
Explore the Sanctuary by train
Don’t feel like walking? We get it! Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is 27 hectares big and there’s a lot to see and do. That’s why we have mini trains running daily. The trains stop at four key locations so you can easily get to where you want to go.

The famous steam train
Our famous red steam train celebrated 60 years in 2024! Many of you may still remember hopping on this train when they were a child. It’s an icon here at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary that still runs this day. Once a month you get the chance to take a steam train ride through our beautiful wildlife reserve and experience the magic.
Did you know the steam train was built in 1964 by engineer Jim Jackson?
