Get exclusive behind the scenes access to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and spend 60 minutes inside one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the world. Be personally escorted around the Hospital to learn about the medical care each animal receives, watch live surgery (if available), walk through our rehabilitation area to see the turtle pools, echidna enclosure, raptor recovery, and many more areas not accessible to the general public.

Terms & Conditions

You must agree with the Terms and Conditions outlined in this legally binding document prior to your participation in this encounter

  • Children under 4 years of age are not permitted to visit the hospital and children aged 4-14 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

  • For child and animal safety, no child should be left unaccompanied at any time.

  • You will be going into areas of the Sanctuary that are not normally accessed by guests; as such you must stay with your guide and obey all instructions as given. Failure to do so may result in the tour being suspended.

  • Please allow at least 30 minutes to travel from the front entrance to your encounter location

  • Appropriate footwear must be worn, no high heels.

  • Directions given by the Wildlife Keeper must be adhered to at all times. Failure to follow directions may result in termination of the encounter.

  • Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary may cancel the encounter at any time. Rescheduling of encounters may be available through Visitor Services 07 5534 0879.

  • Photography on personal devices is not permitted.

  • If you have any allergies or anaphylaxis, please bring this to our attention before you participate in this experience as it involves food.

  • This encounter operates in all weather conditions, including rain. In the event of unsafe weather, we may need to pause or cancel the encounter for the safety of guests, animals and staff.

As part of our Biosecurity Management Plan all participating guests will be issued with an Animal Encounters Authorisation lanyard for the duration of any encounter by the hosting keeper.

This is to be worn and displayed for the duration of the encounter.

  • To be eligible to participate you must fulfil all criteria set out in our animal encounter guidelines

  • Notify us of any health issues you may have that could affect the health of our animals and keepers

  • Your behaviour affects the behaviour of our animals - please be respectful and follow all directions from the keeper hosting your encounter at all times

  • Please wash your hands upon entering and exiting your animal encounter

A 1.75% transaction fee applies to online bookings.
