Meet One of Australia's Most Loved Iconic Species... the Koala
Enjoy a very personal encounter with the Koalas that call Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary home. Get up close and learn about their unique individual personalities, features, habitat, reproduction, diet and other quirky little facts. You will also get to have a special moment of you and a Koala captured by our professional photographers, to take home as a keepsake.

- This encounter can be modified for wheelchairs and walking aids
- Suitable for prams; however prams and bags will need to be left in a designated area
- Personal photography is allowed at the discretion of Wildlife Keepers

Terms & Conditions
You must agree with the Terms and Conditions outlined in this legally binding document prior to your participation in this encounter
Suitable for all ages. Guests under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paid and participating parent on this encounter.
This encounter can be modified for wheelchairs and walking aids.
Please allow at least 30 minutes to travel from the front entrance to your encounter location.
Appropriate footwear must be worn, no high heels.
Sanctuary entry is not included in this booking and all participants must have valid Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary General Admission to gain entry.
Touching or feeding of animals is only permitted at the discretion of the Wildlife Keeper facilitating the encounter.
Directions given by the Wildlife Keeper must be adhered to at all times. Failure to follow directions may result in termination of the encounter.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary may cancel the encounter at any time. Rescheduling of encounters may be available through Visitor Services 07 5534 0879.
Photography on personal devices is allowed at the discretion of the Wildlife Keeper facilitating the encounter.
This encounter operates in all weather conditions, including rain. In the event of unsafe weather, we may need to pause or cancel the encounter for the safety of guests, animals and staff.
As part of our Biosecurity Management Plan all participating guests will be issued with an Animal Encounters Authorisation lanyard for the duration of any encounter by the hosting keeper.
This is to be worn and displayed for the duration of the encounter.
To be eligible to participate you must fulfil all criteria set out in our animal encounter guidelines
Notify us of any health issues you may have that could affect the health of our animals and keepers
Your behaviour affects the behaviour of our animals - please be respectful and follow all directions from the keeper hosting your encounter at all times
Please wash your hands upon entering and exiting your animal encounter
