Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is pleased to announce the commencement of chilled-out Sunday Sessions at the Village Green.

From 5 December, Sanctuary Sounds Presents Sunday Sessions events will run every Sunday throughout summer from 1 - 5pm. Featuring a different musical act each week, the event will have a chilled out, family-friendly vibe, providing community members the opportunity to get together for food and drinks as the sun goes down while supporting local artists.

5 December - Nadia Sunde Trio

Multi award-winning vocalist, performer and songwriter Nadia Sunde presents a stylish collection of blues and jazz-infused covers and originals, featuring stellar musicians Peta Leigh Wilson on keys and Andrew Shaw on double bass. Drawing on her Croatian and Argentinian heritage, Nadia’s voice has been described as ‘velvety’, ‘rich’ and ‘resonant’.
Nadia is the recipient of multiple national and international song writing and performance awards including a Queensland Music Award, APRA Art Music Award, International Song writing Award and a Gold Coast Creative Industries Award.
Performing at Currumbin Sanctuary’s first Sunday session is somewhat of a homecoming for Nadia as she grew up and lived in Currumbin for many years.

An exquisite blend of all things party, house, bass, and trap, infused in a cocktail and served neat. His selection isn’t pretentious or contrived, and that’s exactly what makes Fletcher’s sets stand out; there’s no reason why something won’t work in the right setting, and it’s a joy to watch a DJ who understands this ethos.

Virtuoso Viola player, Jazz musician, composer and stuntman, Shenzo Gregorio brings his Gypsy Jazz Quartet to Currumbin Sanctuary. Considered amongst peers to be one of the most creative violinists in Australia, Shenzo’s approach to jazz pays homage to the tradition while at the same time bringing an inventive flare to the art form. Be prepared to be blown away with the quartets incredible Virtuosity!
