This December, your Astra Lumina experience begins with festive wonder as the Welcome Pavilion transforms into the Christmas Village – a glowing grotto where Santa will be spreading Christmas cheer!
Enjoy Christmas music, festive food and drink, fantastic Christmas decorations and family photos with Santa before stepping onto the Astra Lumina trail for a light show like you’ve never seen before.
This festive pre-show experience is from 6:15–8:15pm nightly and is the full Christmas experience. Snap a family photo with Santa, meet the Christmas fairy, write letters to Santa shipped straight to the North Pole and make holiday memories under the stars.
Once you’re filled with Christmas cheer, the Gold Coast’s number one after dark adventure awaits you! Wander into the Astra Lumina trail for a breathtaking journey through the stars.
All included with Astra Lumina General Admission from 1–24 December.

FAQ’s
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is open from 9am to 4pm every day, except ANZAC Day (April 25) and Christmas Day (December 25). Last admissions at 3.30pm daily.
Astra Lumina is open from Wednesday to Saturday with the first sessions starting after dark, which depends on the season.
The Lorikeet feeding is held daily at 8am and 4pm.
The Sanctuary will remain open in light rain. In case of severe weather events, a decision may be made to close the Sanctuary in the interest of guest, animal and staff safety. Our team closely monitors weather and you will be informed if you have purchased a ticket and we have to close due to unsafe weather.
Some activities and/or presentations may be delayed or cancelled in wet weather.

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the greater Yugambeh language region, the Country on which Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Hospital are situated today.
