Wildlife Discovery Experience (all year levels & ESL)
Led by one of our experienced and qualified wildlife education officers, this interactive experience is linked to the Australian Curriculum and tailored to your students’ year level. Your students will have the opportunity to meet and learn about three of our amazing animals; while participating in interactive activities to facilitate learning. Weekend rate $10 per head, minimum 25 students on weekends.

The Yarning Circle (Indigenous Knowledges Experience) (all year levels & ESL)
This 45 minute hands on Indigenous Australian Knowledges presentation has been designed specifically to entertain all age groups. The audience will explore our collection of Indigenous Cultural items such as ochre, a variety of Boomerangs, Spears, Coolamon, clubs, the Rainmaker, musical instruments, shells, skins, feathers, skins and nests. You will meet and learn about two animals and can continue the adventure by listening to Dreaming Stories that teach more about totem relationships, animal and earth guardianship, and how the use of this knowledge can enrich their own backyard. Weekend rate $10 per head, minimum 25 students on weekends.

Behind the Scenes (all year levels & ESL)
Get a glimpse behind the scenes at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and the wonderful work our wildlife keepers and veterinary hospital do. Visiting the koala nursery, food preparation and back of house area, and the wildlife hospital deck, this behind the scenes program also includes an opportunity to get up close in an encounter with one of our favourite Australian animals. We need to consider capacity in each of our Behind the Scenes areas. Please note that we have set time slots scheduled around popular daily show times. Say hello to an Australian icon when you book a Koala Photo Opportunity. Due to age restrictions when handling koalas, primary school students are not able to hold a koala. They can have a photo standing beside and touching/cuddling a koala, which is sitting on a pole. Students MUST be 12 years old and 140 cm to hold a koala.
Photos must be pre-booked prior to visit to receive the rate. Full rate will be charged at the gate if not pre-booked.
Feed our kangaroos: $2 per bag (3 students share). Kangaroo feeding and interaction.
Our brand new workbooks are designed to complement self-guided excursions to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary for any school age group. Covering a wide range of topics that relate to the specific animals in the Sanctuary, download these for free of our website, or order hardcopies for your excursion on this form. A5 books are 8 pages long and $1 per book. Workbooks available in English only and designed to complement the Australian Curriculum.
CONDITIONS: ALL PRICES INCLUSIVE OF GST. • These prices are valid for bookings between 1st January and 31st December, 2020. • Group admission rates and conditions are only available to groups who pre-book and pay in bulk as a single transaction. • Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary will invoice state schools after the visit date. Private schools, non-school organisations (e.g. vacation/childcare centres) and private training institutions are required to pay 2 business days prior to arrival or apply for a business account. Payments will not be accepted on the day of admission. • Students with National Trust passes are eligible for free entry but must pay for all additional experiences. In order to receive free entry students’ names and pass numbers must be received by our Education team 7 days prior to the excursion date. Please note: Students with annual passes are not included when allocating the free of charge adult/teacher entitlement. • Please note that weekday and weekend prices vary as specified. • Public holiday prices will vary (please contact us for public holiday bookings). • Bookings made for 2020 are subject to changes in prices
