What are Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's opening hours?

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is open from 9am to 4pm every day, except ANZAC Day (April 25) and Christmas Day (December 25). Last admissions at 3.30pm daily.

Astra Lumina is open from Wednesday to Saturday with the first sessions starting after dark, which depends on the season.

The Lorikeet feeding is held daily at 8am and 4pm.

Is there car parking available at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary?

Yes, there is a large car park opposite the main entrance on Tomewin Street, Currumbin. The car park is open from 7.30am - 5.30pm daily. 

Parking is $10 per car for all-day parking. Parking is free for National Trust of Australia (Queensland) members. 

Are there any other places I can explore with my membership?

Plenty! As a member, you get free and discounted access to thousands of National Trust sites across Australia and the world. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is just one of them. There are many more to explore – including National Trust places in Queensland, Australian heritage sites and international heritage sites.

How long is my membership valid for?

Our memberships are valid for 12 months.

What member discounts do I get at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary?

As a member, you can enjoy 15% off all animal encounters (where there isn’t already special member discount), school holiday programs, food, drinks, retail, and photography. You also get free parking, exclusive pre-sale access to events and additional limited time special offers.

Should I pre-book encounters and experiences?

Yes, we recommend pre-booking an encounter or experience prior to your visit as spaces are limited. You can browse and book them here.

I loved my visit. Can I upgrade to an Annual Membership?

Absolutely! If you loved your visit and you’d like to come back over and over again, you can upgrade to an annual membership on the day of your visit. Just head to the Guest Services booth (near the Lorikeet Arena) on the day of your visit, show your day ticket and you’ll only pay the difference.

An annual membership costs less than 2x visits, so if you plan to come back, we definitely recommend becoming a member. You will also get discounts on animal encounters, experiences and events. Plus, free parking, and free entry to all other National Trust (Queensland) properties and over 1,000 more special places worldwide.

How soon can I use my membership?

Immediately. Just show your email receipt until you receive your membership card in the post.
