About NAIDOC Week
This year’s NAIDOC Week marks a milestone. Fifty Years of Deadly. As part of our way to celebrate and support, we’re hosting daily cultural activities that you can get involved in. It’s a chance to learn more about First Nations peoples, their culture, their stories and their incredible knowledge that’s been passed down for centuries.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is open from 9am to 4pm every day, except ANZAC Day (April 25) and Christmas Day (December 25). Last admissions at 3.30pm daily.
Astra Lumina, our magical night-time experience, is open every Friday and Saturday with extra days during school holidays. The trail opens once last light has faded, doors open one hour earlier. For more specific details, check out this page.
The Lorikeet Feeding is held daily at 8am and 4pm. No entry ticket is required to join. Watch for free or get involved to feed wild Lorikeets.
The Sanctuary will remain open in light rain. In case of severe weather events, a decision may be made to close the Sanctuary in the interest of guest, animal and staff safety. Our team closely monitors weather and you will be informed if you have purchased a ticket and we have to close due to unsafe weather.
Some activities and/or presentations may be delayed or cancelled in wet weather.
